Plélan-le-Grand is a commune in the Ille-et-Vilaine department (Brittany), east of the Paimpont Forest, on the Rennes–Lorient route. It has around 4,100 inhabitants and covers 50 km². The Aff borders its territory to the southwest and the Church of Saint-Pierre, begun in 1850, stands in the village.
