Lavelanet is a French commune in the Ariège department (Occitanie), in the Pays d'Olmes, at the foot of the Pyrenees. It has around 6,000 inhabitants over 13 km². The Touyre flows through it, and the 12th-century Saint-Sernin de Bensa chapel is a listed historic monument.
