La Teste-de-Buch is a French commune in the Gironde department (Nouvelle-Aquitaine), on the south shore of the Arcachon Bay. It has over 27,000 inhabitants on 180 km², one of the largest areas in metropolitan France, and includes the Dune of Pilat at the entrance to the bay.
