La Roche-sur-Foron is a French commune in Haute-Savoie (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), about twenty kilometres from Geneva. It has around 11,200 inhabitants over 18 km². The Foron river, from which it takes its name, flows through it, and the Church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste stands over the old town.
