Claix is a French commune in the Isère département (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), in the arrondissement of Grenoble, south of the urban area. It has around 7,800 inhabitants on 24 km², at the foot of the Vercors; the Drac separates it from Pont-de-Claix, and the Lesdiguières bridge, built in 1608-1610, crosses it.
