Blaye is a French commune and sub-prefecture in the Gironde department (Nouvelle-Aquitaine), on the right bank of the Gironde estuary, 56 km north of Bordeaux. It has around 5,000 inhabitants on 6 km² and is home to Vauban's citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
