Antibes is a French commune in the Alpes-Maritimes (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur), on the Mediterranean between Cannes and Nice. It has around 77,000 inhabitants and covers 26 km². Fort Carré, a 16th-century citadel reworked by Vauban, overlooks the town, and Cap d'Antibes borders it to the south.
