Zwiesel is a town in Lower Bavaria, in the Regen district, where the Großer Regen and the Kleiner Regen meet to form the Schwarzer Regen. A market municipality from 1313 and a town since 1904, it had about 9,100 inhabitants at the end of 2024 and covers some 41 km².
