In the Mainviereck, on the eastern side of the Spessart, Marktheidenfeld is a town in Lower Franconia (Bavaria), in the Main-Spessart district, crossed by the river Main. It had about 11,700 inhabitants at the end of 2023 on some 36 km² and lies nearly 24 km west of Würzburg.
