Four localities — Dörnigheim, Bischofsheim, Hochstadt and Wachenbuchen — have formed the town of Maintal since 1974, in the Main-Kinzig district (Hesse), on the river Main, between Frankfurt and Hanau. It had more than 39,600 inhabitants at the end of 2023 and covers 32.41 km².
