Formed in 1970 by the union of Langenberg and Benteler, Langenberg is a municipality in North Rhine-Westphalia, in the Gütersloh district. It had more than 8,300 inhabitants at the end of 2023 and covers some 38 km². It borders Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Rietberg, Lippstadt and Oelde.
