Konstanz is the principal city of the Konstanz district (Landkreis) in Baden-Württemberg, at the western end of Upper Lake Constance, where the Rhine flows out of it. It had about 86,900 inhabitants at the end of 2024 and covers some 54 km²; the Swiss border separates it from Kreuzlingen.
