On the southern edge of the Aurich district, in East Frisia, Großefehn is a municipality in Lower Saxony, made up of Geest land and extensive raised bogs. It had about 14,200 inhabitants at the end of 2022 and covers some 127 km². It borders Aurich, Ihlow and Wiesmoor, among others.
