A sulphur spa town in Lower Bavaria, Bad Abbach is a market town (Markt) in the Kelheim district, in the Danube valley between Kelheim and Regensburg. It had about 12,500 inhabitants at the end of 2024 and covers some 55 km². It comprises 31 localities, including Poikam, Dünzling and Oberndorf.
