In the Wynental, from 511 m beside the Wyna to 788 m at the summit of the Homberg, Reinach had about 9,800 inhabitants at the end of 2024. The municipality in the Kulm district covers 9.47 km², and borders Menziken, Zetzwil and Gontenschwil, among others. The village is recorded as early as 1036 as Rinacha.
