In the district of Conthey, the municipality of Nendaz stretches from about 460 m at Aproz on the Rhône up to over 3,300 m at the Rosablanche, and borders the Val de Bagnes and Veysonnaz. It had nearly 7,000 inhabitants at the end of 2022 and covers 86.01 km².
