A southern suburb of Lucerne, on Lake Lucerne and at the foot of Mount Pilatus, Horw is a municipality in the canton of Lucerne bordering Lucerne, Kriens and Hergiswil. It had about 15,900 inhabitants in 2024, and its elevation ranges from 434 m on the lake to nearly 1,300 m in the Hochwald.
