Turnhout is a city and municipality in the Campine region of Antwerp Province (Belgium) and the administrative centre of the Turnhout arrondissement. It has around 47,000 inhabitants on 56 km². The castle of the Dukes of Brabant and the beguinage, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998, stand in the city.
