As the first brewing commune in the European network of brewing commune and regions, Braine-l’Alleud plays a founding role within the beBeer ecosystem. Its commitment reflects the local authorities’ desire to recognise beer as a genuine part of the region’s cultural heritage. By holding this pioneering distinction, the municipality embodies the local roots that beBeer aims to promote and demonstrates that a thriving brewing scene can become a marker of identity and attractiveness for an entire region.
